Unsightly seam through the eyes

I found the seam through the eyes to be distracting, costing serious points with me. It's a damn shame, because the miniatures and props are wonderful. If eyes are the window to a character's soul, why did the director think it was okay to have the seam run through the eyes? I think the material he wrote deserves much better.
