The plot sounds bit like Marble City, another film Nicolas cage has just signed to do.

Both sound alright, so who knows?

I think some of Nicolas Cage's recent films seem to have the same plot.I sometimes wonder is he even looking at the scripts anymore.

Very much like Edge of Darkness.

And, of course, he's playing a guy with a past career that he is actually not willing to work in anymore (as in Gone in 60 Seconds, somehow?) ... Uff ... haven't we seen this before?

Looks like Stolen meets Seeking Justice meets Gone in 60 Seconds meets Trespass to end up in a sequel of Edge of Darkness missing Mel Gibson at this point.
