Well, I guess I'm done this season

Colby was the only one left rooting for. This whole secret six alliance has really taken the fun out of the game for me. It is not enjoyable.

I watch BBUK and in that show game talk and strategy is actually not permissible by threat of penalty. should the show be renewed I suggest they employ this in future seasons.

If there was no strategy this would be so boring. There would be nothing worth watching (this season) besides the Colby vs. Kaitlin finale.

The challenges is the main attraction, not the SOAP.

There is no worthy kings left.

A nerd alliance is an oxymoron.

Here's the thing, this game in its current incarnation is not set up for this sort of strategy. Think about it, what's to stop future nerds from cross aligning and picking off the non alliance members one by one which is essentially what happened this season. It's boring and predictable. Not to mention I think Colby felt ostracized, the alliance creates a hierarchy which is supposed to be the antithesis of what these nerds stand for since they were always the ones on the outside. For strategy I'll watch Survivor and Big Brother but I don't look for that in KOTN.

reply

Exactly and I find the first two seasons of KOTN much more enjoyable than this crap season with the crap six alliance.

True, I stopped watching the minute Colby went back in for a third time because I just knew he would not come back. I wanted to see Kaitlin or Colby take it all the way,but that secret six alliance is unbearable.

but that secret six alliance is unbearable.
Agree with you 100% on this.

Alliance or not, I believe Colby would've still ended up in the nerd-off repeatedly. He was a beast, and was the largest threat to anyone in the competition. It would've only made sense to try and knock him out, whether there was a six-way partnership or not.

Plus, many of the contestants felt it was unfair for Colby - who had already won six-figure amounts of prize money in one game show - to be competing in another. Dude had a target on his back from day one. It's just too bad his team sucked and couldn't win enough.

Although it wasn't shown on the screen, I wonder if the Colby's alliance-member teammates agreed to throw the nerd wars to lose on purpose so that they could guarantee he would be sent to the nerd-off multiple times. Now THAT would've been bush league.

I agree as well. Growing up as a nerd, there were always alliances against you. Always the last picked and the first one put out. Todd was a true nerd, and like a true nerd the popular kids teamed up and put him out. Same with Colby. Then there is the fake hugs and kisses and "I'll miss you" talk. Till your out of earshot, then its jokes and high fives at your expense. Most likely it's just me and this particular KOTN hit a sore spot from my past. Like it was mentioned, it is a contest. So whatever it takes to win is the rule. I get it. This particular alliance just left a bad taste in my mouth.

I'll be in my bunk.
