worst casting in the history of TV.

its like casting Jane Fonda to play Louis Amstrong, or Emma Watson to play GW Bush.

worst casting in the history of TV.

What's so frustrating about his casting is that I'm sure there were dozens of people who auditioned for the part who would've been a much better fit. The guy who played Valentine in the last episode would've been perfect.

There was a LOT more to Edward Teach than his facial hair.

Yeah, and there was a lot more to Jimmi Hendrix than his afro and mustache, so why not have him get played by a bald Samuel L. Jackson, too? Makes as much sense as this comment.

But then again, you're probably attempting to be funny. Doesn't make you statement any less idiotic, though.

He doesn't have a black beard because he's older. Its explained at the beginning of the first episode, the story takes place later, after the real Blackbeard's actual date of death.
