I kept wondering that myself - everyone knows the description of Blackbeard: rough-looking and scary, with a full BLACK beard.
I will admit I have not watched this show yet, but a bald guy with a little grey-white goatee doesn't seem to fit. I hope to God there is some explanation provided in the show...or were the creators just thrilled to be able to work with Malkovich and didn't care about anything else?
