If you haven't seen Jim Jefferies' DVD called 'I SWEAR TO GOD', do yourself a favor and check it out. I have over a thousand stand-up comedy dvd's and downloads and his IS THE FUNNIEST in over 20 years. Just my opinion. A few comedians have copied his stuff and re-hashed it as well, but a lot of comedians do that type of stuff I have noticed over the years. When I first saw Jim, he instantly became my favorite comedian...... BY FAR. Check out all his stuff, you won't regret it.

Jim is one of the funniest stand ups working today. Alcoholocaust is my favorite.

I don't know about THE funniest, but he's definitely in the upper echelon of comics working today. Kind of an Aussie cross between Bill Hicks, Louis CK, and Greg Giraldo.

Everyone always brings up Bill Hicks, that was nearly twenty years ago, he was brilliant, but was he the best?

I'll leave you with a Stewart Lee quote, (on of the funniest working comics):

"I wish I was dead Bill Hicks. I wish I could be judged on two hours of material."

He was the best comic to come out of his generation, IMHO, and he had a lot more than 2 hours of material.

I think he had more than 2 hours of material, however it wasn't the quantity it was the quality, the underlying messages he was pushing out to the ignorant world he lived in. Trying to open the eyes of the media/religion/government controlled population that were being lead down a garden path, only to be treated like a sucker on this planet of ours.

He died at 32... he was really only just getting started. If he had survived to the creation of the internet, he would have revelled in that to get his message across, I'm sure, and become a superstar comedian. However, we'll never know.
All we know is that he broke through the boundaries of comedy and life in his era and struck a chord with many enlightened people, and hopefully opened the eyes of many more.

His "Swear to God" and his previous HBO show (sorry forgot the title) nearly made me pee when watching them.

for another really good aussie comedian check out Steve Hughes (long hair heavy metal looking bloke) he's soooo under-rated its a shame. He is also a good friend of Jims so hope he appears in Legit at some point.

I love I SWEAR TO GOD. But prefer ALCOHOLOCAUST. FULLY FUNCTIONAL is also great. I've seen him live and he's great. Especially since he was heckled by a group of people and he tore those hecklers a new a**hole.

What did you expect, an exploding pen?
