Couldn't find a funny person to give a show to?

Must be plenty of deserving people out there. Instead they give one to this guy?

You Sir, Are A Douche.

A fine example of the intellect of people who follow this shockingly unfunny "comedian."

A fine example of a douchenozzle who thinks his tastes are objective fact.

Please get your entire head in front of the shotgun.

Alternatively someone could not know who this comedian is and find the show entertaining.

reply

I 2nd !!!! lol I about Piss My self Every time I watch This show!!!! I love it !!!

reply

What a pointless 'review'. What are your reasons for disliking him? What exactly is wrong with the show? More to the point, if you don't like him, why on earth did you watch it? I think that if you love Jim and his stand up this is worth a watch, if you don't like him - don't watch this. Pretty straightforward really. Angry people will always find something to moan about =)

reply

Don't overthink it... OP is a failure, is envious of those who have succeeded using material he can't comprehend the appeal of, lashes out when that success grows. Same thing we see in the Louis CK boards.

reply

In 2nd episode Jim was talking about dreams and how he wanted more and more and I bet the OP is just one of those failed comedians who is like "this guy is on tv, I should be on tv". except he's not actually funny.

"Nothing in this movie makes sense." said the narcoleptic.

Care to give us some examples of comedians you consider more deserving of a show?

reply

I just watched this 1st episode and thought it was fraggin' hilarious!!!!!!!

The main character kind of reminds me of Family Guy Creator - Seth MacFarlane actually.......

I laughed very hard, nearly the entire episode. And DJ Qualls - he's quirky, but good so far!

I'm totally giving this series another watch, but, my guess, FX will cancel it like they did Terriers..... So we'll never really get to see the potential of Legit....

Oh, one thing I HATE, yes, strong word, but I really hate it when in the series opener, the name of the series is said.... I think that's cheesy...... "Oh, you're trying to go legit?"...... oye....

Been a fan of Jims for many years going back to the Comedy Store in London. Even met him to get his first CD signed. Anyway, I had high hopes for the show and was not disappointed in the slightest.

Hope the show gets picked up for a second season, im sure once the characters have been fully fleshed out we will be in for some classic episodes.

reply

Exactly! It's the first episode! I thought the character development in the first episode was actually pretty good!

I think it's a great addition after Archer on Thursday's.

I liked the first episode and LOVED the second episode. I am certainly looking forward to thursday nights on FX with Archer and Legit. Both hilarious shows.

reply

Thought I'd give this show a shot, but I couldn't get through the first episode. I think part of it, is I just don't like DJ Qualls (not personally). To those who like it, that's cool. That being said, I do love Archer ...

reply

I was surprised with this decision on the part of the FX channel as well. I just don't see the appeal.

I mean, Wilfred, I am sure, was something of a risk for them, but what was it about this guy that made them greenlight the show?

reply

His stand up is hilarious...maybe that was it?

reply

I don't know who this guy is, and have never seen/heard his stand-up, but the pilot wasn't funny at all.

reply

The second episode was much better. You should watch his stand up.

reply

The funniest Jim has ever been in his stand-up routine is the time an audience member punched him in the head. I still laugh every time I think of that. If you're a JJ hater you'll love seeing him get hit and if you're a JJ lover you'll enjoy how the crowd rallies around him. Good times...

I'll have to check the show out to see what's what.

reply

Wow, if you don't think Jim Jefferies is funny well, you're a *beep*

reply

writinman what are you a failed comic or something?

jim Jefferies is hilarious and despite the fact that he acts like an *beep* for laughs, he's actually a pretty chill guy in real life

the show is pretty funny and has a surprising amount of heart considering Jefferies' usual stand up, but it does lack a little in technical aspects such as editing, directing, and plot structure but it's funny and enjoyable enough to let these tiny slip ups slide

see that's how you do a review. you say some good and some bad and then come to a conclusion, as opposed to just writing "this guys not funny and i'm too intelligent for him"

eat a dick.

I did like 50's Dad, though.
