Does anyone feel sorry for Steve?

The guy's just floating in an ocean of self-pity. He seems to have no fight-back about him and is kind of selfish.

For example, his deadbeat dad shtick. It was deeply sad from his perspective when he bought his daughter the wrong size coat; it seems he may not want to acknowledge that his daughter is growing up without him there and so has preserved her in his mind as she was the last time he saw her. But that kind of thinking is of no use to his kid, and serves only to make him feel better.

I don't know. I view Legit's characters as akin to It's Always Sunny.
They don't measure up as happy people from our point of view, but they're surrounded by people who don't see their lives as unhappy, so it doesn't affect them as much. Happyness and what you actually have in life are two different things, and I don't think he's particularly unhappy.

I have been in stages of my life where I've had an equal amount of my life's goals accomplished (or rather a lack of it) and sometimes I'm happy and sometimes I'm not.
