Legit Canceled unfortunately

Jim Jefferies said the following on his Facebook page:

"Legit has been cancelled. Sorry to everyone who was a fan of the show, please watch tonight it's the final two episodes. I am very proud of the work that I did on this show and I made friends that ill have for life. So I'm going to try and not be sad about this."

Well this sucks

reply

Well when it was moved from FX over to FXX...it was only a matter of time.

The 21st century is when it all changes

reply

WTF?! It's one of the best shows on TV.

*beep* you FX, and *beep* you more FXX.

reply

Well that sucks. Apparently FXX is where shows go to die.

reply

So bummed. Legit was easily the best offbeat comedy on TV. RIP to one of my favorites... I really hope the cast finds new opportunities that aren't relegated to a channel nobody watches.

+1

I just got around to watching the last three episodes and they felt the series was coming to an end- came here and hmm.
This season doesn't even come close to the first.
Had many dull moments, especially the ones with Jim's parents.

reply

wtf are you talking about. This season didn't have a dull moment. Was hilarious from start to finish.

reply

WTF are YOU talking about? The first season was hilarious, the second, DARK. Very few laughs the second time around. Dumb writers destroy another series.

reply

I found the 2nd season more hilarious. I think it's because the cast synced up with each other even more perfectly than they did in season 1. Enjoyed them both, though. Sad to see this show go.

reply

Yeah I actaully enjoyed the 2nd season more. I like things dark, and it was dark, but funny also

FFX

Won't be starting any new shows on their station.

reply

Jim writes Legit you know.

reply

The show was dark because it was trying to show a bottom for Jim to hit and turn his life around.
They accurately are portraying a family of alcoholism and that's one reason why it's such an amazing show!

"And what were you bobbleheads doing while I was just getting earf...ed by father time?"

reply

Good riddance. Terrible show.

reply

Damnit!!!! If they didn't move it to FXX this wouldn't have happened. How do they expect a show to get viewers when they move it to a channel practically nobody knows exists. Not to mention it seems like a lot of people don't even get FXX.

reply

I don't get why the hell they created FXX. Like they were so big they needed two networks so essentially the same damn thing.

Just found out that this was cancelled. Am still catching up on the last few episodes (have three left, I believe). Like some people on the board, this show grew on me and I was looking forward to another season. I'm very perplexed about why FXX was created. I thought it was supposed to be FX's comedy station, because they moved Sunny, Legit, The League, and Wilfred there. Yet, FX itself still has Louie, Anger Management, and two new comedies coming on next month (Married and this other show).

I felt like the season 2 finale served as a decent series finale. It felt like the story ended - Billy and Steve moved out of the house and Jim is now a successful stand-up. Everything tied up nicely.

reply

"Everything tied up nicely"? Everybody is miserable now!

Sure, Jim's career has taken off, but his personal life is in shambles - self-doubt and disconnection from friends and family.

Billy had to move back to the home, and is miserable there. Basically just waiting to die.

Steve's hit rock bottom. He probably blew his last hope of sharing custody of his daughter. He's joined the army, possibly because he's obsessed with guns now, and we've yet to see whether it will fix him or kill him.

Jim and Katie love each other and are perfect for each other, but she's stuck in a loveless marriage with an unappreciative husband, and Jim is such a mess he'll never try to win her back.

Sorry to be a bummer, but I've grown to really like these characters, and they deserve better than to be left out in the cold like this.
