Is this a different story every season or do you need to watch from the beginning of season 1?

Season 1 and 2 sort of went together in some ways... 3 and 4 go together even more so.

The main character of season 1 and 2 was killed off in 3 with no fanfare at all.... was crazy. Basically Thandie Newton left the show or something...

Season one was the best season but also the least complicated.

How do you know grace is dead and how do you know she isn't somewhere in witness protection and will reappear in later episodes? Hmmmmmmmm

Thandie Newton was pregnant her last season. She left because of pregnancy/birth of her son.
