for a movie that was supposed to have been based on a graphic novel, this effort comes across as lacking in visual style. the lighting seemed conventional.

it felt like it was shot on video that they attempted to film-look.

it's not that they didn't try. it just fell short. i'm wondering if it's because of a lack of budget. like if they had more money would there have been a better dp?
