What about Clare Torry?

This documentary would have been more complete if they would have shown Clare Torry - who sang those haunting vocals on Pink Floyd's "Great Gig in the Sky".

She was from England though. This doc was mostly about American backup singers, and black ones.

Limit of the Willing Suspension of Disbelief: directly proportional to its awesomeness.

Claire Torry should have been in there as well. Even the girls from the Delicate Sound of Thunder tour were great.

I was thinking the same thing throughout watching this great doc. Torry's vocals on "Great Gig" is the ne plus ultra of background singing, ffs they could at least given her a mention.

Anyway still the best doc I've seen for a good while.

How about the backup singer for Roxy Music that did Avalon? Yannick Etienne. I'd certainly put that as one of the top backup performances ever

I heard about this doc on another message board, so I came here to see if Clare Torry is mentioned in it. Now that I have found this message, I'm not in any hurry to look for this!
Thanks.

the movie does not address singers that had only one or two memorable performances, there are thousands
