Anyone seen these movies mentioned during the documentary?

Motel Hell
Visiting Hours
Hell Night
Don't Answer the Phone!
Hell Night
The Boogey Man
Terror Train
He Knows You're Alone
Fade to Black
Madman
Sleepaway Camp
Pieces
Mother's Day
The Burning

If so what did you think about each one? If they're good fun I'd like to check them out this month. :)

Mothers Day and The Burning are f'n classics!!

^Mothers Day is far from a classic...it's pretty damn dreadful for an early 80's slasher aside from a few scenes of oddball comedy.

Of the ones I've seen:

Terror Train: Meh, not bad, but pretty forgettable. You know how when people talk about Jamie Lee Curtis doing horror movies early in her career it's pretty much relegated to Halloween, Halloween 2, The Fog, and the rest? This pretty much earns being known as 'the rest.' And David Copperfield has a scene where he does magic for some reason.
Prom Night: I think this one is flashed on the screen too. The same thing as Terror Train applies.
He Knows You're Alone: I'm fuzzy on this one, since it's been about 12-15 years since I watched it. I remember liking it though. If memory serves, this is Tom Hanks' first movie, but he doesn't really do much in it.
Madman: Madman is awesome.
Sleepaway Camp: Terrible writing, terrible acting, terrible music, but really good kills and gore. Just a really, really inept movie, but it still manages to be awesome.
Pieces: If I'm remembering correctly, it's alright, but has some really stupid crap. Like a random ninja.
Mother's Day: I didn't really like it. Found the villains to be really annoying and grating. Not that it's a bad movie, it just wasn't my thing.
The Burning: It's based on the same ghost story that Madman is. I personally like Madman better, but this one is also really good.

Madman it is! Thank you. I also already watched The Burning. Was certainly a fun 80's slasher. :)

Visiting Hours - I enjoyed it, not to be taken seriously
Terror Train - Other than a couple slow scenes it's really good
Madman - decent horror
Sleepaway Camp - I love it, but some people hate this
Pieces - I love it, a must see
Mother's Day - it's ok
The Burning - I love it, a must see, especially if you enjoy Friday the 13th..... this actually could have been the franchise that had 9 sequels instead of F13, very similar films.

Seeing your profile picture I can tell that you love The Burning. Before your reply I actually already watched it, and I definitely recommend the movie to any Friday the 13th fans. I don't feel like any Friday the 13th fans should be upset about it being a ripoff of the franchise considering how Friday the 13th is a ripoff of Halloween.

Hands of the Ripper was mentioned. its a pretty good Hammer film. worth checking out if you've never seen it.

I thought it was annoying some of these were mentioned as if inspired by Friday, even though they came out the same year (Terror Train, Prom Night, He Knows You're Alone, Mother's Day, etc). Really over-blowing Friday's influence.

As for the movies themselves:

Terror Train - my favorite of the bunch; great setting and great twist.
He Knows You're Alone - underrated
Madman - liked it
Sleepaway Camp - except for the ending, hate it
Pieces - I think I've seen it twice but don't remember much
Mother's Day - liked it, more of a rape/revenge movie than slasher
The Burning - great kills and likable characters

^Very true. Those movies you mentioned were clearly influenced by 'Halloween' and not 'FT13TH'. Now of course I would say that the slashers which came later and were set at summer camps were definitely influenced by 'FT13TH', no question about it.

I usually love Hammer movies but really did not like 'Hands of the Ripper' AT ALL! I just found it to be terribly boring tbh.

'Psycho', which was shown in the doc. as being one of the influences on 'FT13TH', is of course an undisputed classic of the Horror and Suspense genre(s).
