In my humble opinion,

-Part 3 would've been much better with the alternative ending than with the ridiculous one eventually used and seen today. They also could've included Chirs and Rick's confrontation with Abel before their ill-fated return to the house. I think that scene might have added abit more extra weight, not to mention a certain sense of doom, to their soon to be terrifying plight as well.

-Part 4 would have been way more effective with the inclusion of the whole 'Dead mother in the bathtub' scene.

-And who would not loved to have seen the uncut version of Part 2's infamous impaling scene as well?

-And of course ALL of Part 7 goes without saying really.

What do you all think about it?

I think that they should be releasing the original 8 in a box set TOTALLY UNCUT! That is the only way I will spend on these movies again (films themselves, anyway), and that is what I think!

Nice post though, OP. After I see the doc, I may get a few of those points a bit better, but I agree that part 7 needs all parts restored, uncut death in part 2 (impale) would have been cool, but I hear that most deaths had cuts that I would like to see restored, and I hear there are a lot of parts removed from part 4, and not just edited for content, but deleted scenes as well.

In this do they say why they went the "reboot/remake" route in 2009 rather than give us a film which could both work as a sequel AND as an introduction of Jason to newbies ?
Maybe if Jason vs Freddy had ended with Pinhead taking them both "home"(?) we'da got a Jason vs Freddy vs Pinhead movie and be in a completely different place right now.
