IMDb is shutting the message boards down on 20 Feb. See the IMPORTANT IMDb message above. I guess you trolls out there have won and I hope you're satisfied.

Hmmm. "Bickering" is one way of putting it.
But then, a messageboard without trolls would be like a barbeque without flies. Even if you're watching a science video on YouTube, you find comments by trolls pretending to be creationists or climate change deniers. At least on YouTube, the people who run their channel have the option of subjecting a poster's comments to approval, so anyone who tries to troll can be blocked.
Sad. The message boards are one of the more interesting and useful parts of IMDB. Even when you disagree with others about issues related to said tv show or movie. Getting rid of the boards is a real shame. And their reasoning is kind of silly. Text based message boards can't possibly take up much storage space. Oh well despite differences in Cosmos ASTO, it's been interesting learning other people's views, no matter how flawed they might be.
