Ultron is allegory for Obama

The parallels are eerie

Dissagreed. Elaborate.

I can see SOME correlation.

0bama was about hope. Tony intended Ultron to give the world hope.
0bama was praised before he ever did anything (Noble Prize). Ultron was looked at as a way to bring peace.
Ultron was going to end war. 0bama was going to end the wars in the middle east.
Ultron wasn't about peace at all. 0bama has not made the world, or even the country, more peaceful.

For the record - NO. I do NOT think 0bama is trying to destroy the world. And, YES. I do think that most significant world leaders have things in common with Ultron.

You made more sense than the OP, anyway.

reply

Come to think of it, there are some more similarities:

Ultron trying to get to the nuclear codes in order to ensure his vision of saving the world, but constantly getting blocked by JARVIS - Obama trying to get bills past in order to ensure his vision of saving the people of the USA, but constantly getting blocked by congress.

Strange, since the most damaging years of his presidency are when he had a democratic majority in congress, and the policies that he did push through have done anything but save people.

Anyways, the original posters idea is clearly not the filmmakers intention, as the film was made mostly by radical liberals...as are most mainstream Hollywood films.

That said, Winter Soldier was definitely very anti-Obama and anti-Bush big government policies.

Further proof that Jefferson was right when he said, "I own I am not a friend to a very energetic government. It is always oppressive."

reply

Interesting comparison.

Obama is and was a juvenile intellect who wanted to better society be changing it in his warped image no matter the cost. Very Ultron like indeed.

This is some of the dumbest discourse I have ever seen on the internet. No wonder its under one of the dumbest movies I have ever seen as well. Floating battleships = Mexico.

reply

No, he's not, and no, it's not eerie.

reply

I agree with you, Chris. The OP and his nitwit supporters on this board prove once again that Obama-haters are the biggest morons in this country. They haven't learned a thing. No wonder they follow people like Trump and Cruz and Ben Carson, a bunch of extremist clowns.

reply

Idiots like you who want the government to take care of them are so far left that they think the center is an extreme.

I'm willing to bet any amount of money that morons like you could not pass a US Constitution or immigration test.

I'm sure you won't even get this one right:

The Constitution of the US ______ the government and its ability to rule.

A)Empowers
B)Restricts
C)Ignores
D)Allows

reply

Yeah, you're a freaking genius for knowing that our Constitution limits and places restrictions upon our government's ability to invade and/or dictate our lives.

If your scope of politics went ANYWHERE beyond a message board and into the real world, you'd know that the percentage of people who actually support increasing government's reach is next to nil.

Saying that because someone supports Obamacare means that they support "big government" and its ability to reach into our private lives is at least as stupid as saying that people are supporting Big Brother because they want the railroads and bridges maintained.

Next time you want to condescend to someone, make sure that the guy isn't informed enough to condescend himself.

The person you mocked was agreeing with a widely held political belief, not saying that they can read palms.

Thank you for admitting you are a complete and utter idiot. I'm not surprised that it took you 3 months to figure out how stupid you were and then come here and prove it.

Railroads and bridges easily fall under the "general welfare" clause, and, if nothing else, it is the government's responsibility to make sure we can have trade within our own nation.

In addition, everyone will concede that there has to be some socialism in our system. We have to pay for the military and we can't expect it to just be there.

But supporting 0bamacare IS supporting big government and its ability to reach into our lives.

There is nothing in the Constitution which tasks the government with making sure we have a doctor, or that we go to the doctor, or that we have insurance, etc. Now, for the first time EVER we have a tax for NOT buying something. This is a slippery slope because now the government can "tax" us for not buying anything they declare to be essential.

Yeah, you're a freaking genius for knowing that our Constitution limits and places restrictions upon our government's ability to invade and/or dictate our lives.

Oh, and yes I am a genius for knowing that. Or, at least among the brain dead liberals (redundant) I'm a genius because they beg for the government to provide for them. By doing that we are stuck with programs such as Social Security where we are FORCED to pay into the system, but if we die before taking money out and have no dependents, the government keeps the money they confiscated from us. We can't leave it to our grandchildren, or nieces/nephews, school, hospital, charity, etc. The government keeps it.

Any other entity which did that would be under federal indictment. But morons like you don't understand the horrors of big government.

reply

What a crock of poo.

reply

Major failure.

Even Obama's biggest critics criticize his propensity to coddle and support those least capable of supporting themselves, the least capable of independent survival.

The notion of "if mankind doesn't improve we'll start again" is almost the polar opposite of Obama.

Now we are getting Hela the goddess of death that wants to follow Ultron's eight year disaster reign. Hillary may be worse than Hela... more like Mephisto.
