Danny Elfman and Brian Tyler???

I am not referring to that great video discussing musical scores in modern blockbusters.
Yes I said modern blockbusters not Marvel movies because that video was talking about the industry as a whole. Very interesting stuff that even I had no knowledge of...
The temp music? Wow what a travesty imo...
Anyway I had to subcribe to that channel 

Now the score for Ultron was made by two very well known and extremely talented composers.
Elfman is definitely A LEGEND in the industry.
I posted thread about MCU music a long time ago expressing my wonder why is MCU music so underwhelming. MCU has amazing visuals and heart pumping action sequences. I was talking about why don´t they hire a real beast of a composer to add to the great action...

Danny Elfman and Brian Tyler...I listened to the Ultron soundtrack and I dodn´t find ONE theme, except the Avengers theme to be really interesting. I mean there is music but it´s just a huge pile of musical instruments...

I couldn´t even tell that those two did the score. I can recognise them here and there but overall I was taken aback.

That is just my opinion of course. But what happened? Was Whedon´s vision of the score this way? Or just Danny was not as creative with this project.
I mean listen to this theme he did for HellBoy 2

This would perfectly fit Ultron if you ask me

And Brian Tyler can do some action pieces but he is very strong with emotional music...I could feel him in teh farm music...the guitars that was nice...
I completely loved his score for Constantine and the one he did for Aliens vs. Predator - Requiem...Yeah one of the worst cases of movie making crime
But Brian took all previous score from Alien 1-4 and Predator and combined them with his unique spin on it...

any one feels the same?
When it comes to scores MCU is lacking...But why?

I must add this...I do not hate....I am not trying to anger anyone...When I tried to talk about something before some of you just straight up started attacking me ok?

I like Captain America 1+2 scores...civil War was weak too imo
Thor has nice music too...

It's hard to say, really. It's good to have variations in score, cause one of my few issues with the Dark Knight Trilogy was how pretty every music piece sounded the same, there was that cool Joker theme and Deshi Basara but that's about it, to be honest.

But the MCU does have a lack of consistency in music. I think it's mainly because the composers don't want to do multiple films of the same franchise and want a little more variation, even John Williams is staying out of Rogue One. And when the replacing composer tries to copy the themes from the first one, it often mixes badly with their own themes and ideas. The reason you don't hear much Elfman in this is because he was busy trying to weave the Avengers theme into Tyler's music.

However, most of the scores do fit the films and characters well. For example, Alan Silvestri's 40s-style march for Captain America is great, and the Incredible Hulk's music was subdued and unpredictable like Hulk himself. The Guardians Of The Galaxy also had a good, memorable score at times. And I still think the greatest MCU score besides Avengers is Driving With The Top Down.

I think this is one of my main problems with the music in the DC Extended Universe so far. None of the themes except Batman's really fit the characters that well. Superman's theme holds no candle to William's, Lex's theme sounds like it was more suited to the Penguin than Luthor, and Wonder Woman's theme should be more majestic and orchestral, instead of a generic electric guitar riff playing in every scene she was in. I couldn't even hear the score in Suicide Squad because every minute they played an overly loud pop tune.

Which is really a shame because Steven Price's score was great.

Yeah. It's obvious they only added the pop songs because GOTG did it and was a big success.

Elfman's work on AOU I actually found really good, and he was the composer replacement after Tyler breached his score contract. The problem is, that a lot of his work was drowned out by sound in the film, not to mention that some of his best cues were cut-out, including one where he actually references Silvestri's Captain America theme, because someone in Marvel apparently hates themes. It's ridiculous.

Well I guess music is not their priority...It is for me as a movie fan...
