One of The Top 10 Truly Great Movies of 2015

The list of ten best as it stands.

1) Avengers: Age of Ultron
2) Ant-Man
3) The Martian
4) Bridge of Spies
5) Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation
6) Inside Out
7) Mr. Holmes
8) Phoenix
9) Sicario
10) Mad Max: Fury Road

Here's hoping The 33, My All American, The Hunger Games: Mockingjay, Part 2 and certainly Star Wars: The Force Awakens can crack this list before years end.

I'll give you Mad Max and Inside Out, but the rest of the movies on this list are terrible.

reply

Huh, this movie's literally on the bottom of my 2015 list. I didn't even bother to watch antman because it was undoubtedly more of the same nonsense

Ferris Bueller, you're my hero

Ant-Man was actually better than Avengers AOU. It had real character and plot development, and wasn't so focused on plugging the next episode that it forgot to tell its own story. It was made as a standalone film if no sequel were possible.

JJ has this on his best of the year list. I wonder if December will produce anything to know it out or is that even possible?

I accept your surrender.

An interesting list. Phoenix stands out, which works for me since I loved it greatly.

Room and Maggie should also be considered.

Marvel is the avenue to the heart. 

They deliver two sure bets every year.

reply

I'm calling it now. Star Wars The Force Awakens will have expectations that are too high to fully enjoy the film.

This movie will end up being the better film.

I accept your surrender.

Good news for Marvel, Star Wars and fruit fans! The happiest taste on earth? Walt Disney Company and Dole Food Co. are teaming up to offer co-branded fresh produce, which will appear on shelves featuring a full complement of characters from content brands including Pixar, Star Wars and Marvel. Detailed terms weren't disclosed. Bananas, pineapples, berries and vegetables are part of the deal, along with nutrition education programs and themed recipes tied to Disney content across the various brands.

The best remedy for those who are afraid, lonely or unhappy is to go to a Marvel movie, somewhere where they can be quiet, alone in the theatre and be transported to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. As long as this exists, and it certainly always will, then there will be comfort for every sorrow, whatever the circumstances may be.

We can all say that about Civil War now officially. One of the saviors and best films of the year.
