the ending

ok now.. really?.. did a mouse chew the last part of the reel, so is that why the film ends abrubtly like that?

reply

What were you expecting, a detailed exposition of this amazingly complicated film?

reply

It did end kind of abruptly. Usually there's an epilogue of some sort.

reply

Maybe JCVD did the splits on that ending.

Cool movie. Simple enough plot, and JCVD was badass and crazy so that alone made it totally worth the watch.

But...what the hell? After all that character development, i honestly expected an ending consisting of a resolution of some kind between the two. Would it have killed them to spare a few minutes of screen time at the end, showing them at the brother's gravesite or something?

Nope. After JCVD dies....thats it! The end. Over. WTF?

On the bright side, i give them credit for being fully aware that JCVD's presence is the ONLY reason we'd want to sit through this movie.

reply

It would have been nice to see them hanging out and having a few beers and talking about his brother, but I have no problem with the ending.

*beep* gasoline... I KNEW it would ruin everything! HAHAHAHAHA!"

JCVD went out like the Joker, and I loved it.

reply

Yeah, I completely agree. That ending was waaaay too abrupt. Made a thoroughly enjoyable piece of sh!t movie into just a piece of sh!t movie.

I want the doctor to take your picture so I can look at you from inside as well.

The ending made me think of the ending of Die Hard 2 as soon as I saw the gasoline pouring into the water. I did not see it coming that Kayla was with them.

reply

Yeah. I almost expected him to shout Yippee ki-yay, *beep* 

But how could you not see Kayla was with them. I was expecting it from the moment I first laid eyes on her. I was just waiting for when she shows her true colors. I got a bit nervous at the end thinking I was wrong, but then bam......... right on time.
