In episode 1, what was the cruel teacher's name?
I didn't catch the character's name in order to look up the actor's name. Either or both names would be appreciated. Thanks.

Thanks for the information. Wasn't he a horrible little man? The shame of what he was doing was that it reminded me of seeing students still getting "knuckled" with a ruler for using the WRONG hand even in the early fifties in Glasgow.
shareI can't remember what happened to evil Ingham after they finally took him into the army during the war, after he tried and had failed earlier for being too short.
Was he part of the "bantam" regiments they had when they ran short of men to draft and had to take those who earlier had been rejected for being too short?
Was he killed? Surely they said what happened to him in Series 1, but I just cannot recall. Clearly the old teacher who was in prison is back and teaching again.
