Grace! SPOILER S2 E6

You had your own Norma Rae moment! Woohoo.

At least you saw through the political user Gibby. May the creep spend his life on the back bench of nothing. ha

reply

What a wonderful ending to season 2. I do hope there will be another.

reply

Fingers crossed!

Oh Our Bert. He had a pretty young woman in love with him who could get his dad to speak and, wait for it, get her farmer's working kit on and rebuild a stone fence and...he did not propose immediately?

What were you thinking, Bert? Geesh.

Oh well, his beloved camera was trod into bits during the mass trespass. So his dreams of being the next Alfred Stieglitz were doomed. Maybe the next war coming along will provide him with a job as a war photographer, as he's likely to be too old to serve then unless he gets in under the wire. Hope springs he can someday be the photographer he dreamt of.

I didn't realise that Gibby was a wrong 'un. Completely surprised me! I suppose they had to make Grace fall out of lust with him somehow.

reply

Yes! I'm so disposed to think of Riddell in likeable roles. (His Rab in The Book Group still slays me.)

One reason I was led astray by the BBC sleight of hand with Gibbey was that a socialist politician who's a stalwart Labour MP would rarely if ever become the villain of a BBC show--especially not in the Halcyon days leading up to the General Strike.

That's one of the reasons I didn't see it coming.
