So does everyone in Graceland know that ****** is Odin?? Spoilers!

Spoilers
Does everyone know that Paul was Odin? I just finished watching season 1 and it didn't really get resolved- or am I missing something? Help!

reply

The latest episode made it pretty clear that everyone knows Briggs was Odin.

We do see a couple people find out. And then as PP said apparently at some point it became common knowledge to all the roommates offscreen, unless we're going to see fallout from that little revelation at a later date. Unfortunately this isn't the only thing that isn't satisfactorily resolved or even properly addressed at this point.

It'll probably be like The Shield where everyone knows Briggs' dirty deeds but can't prove it, then Internal Affairs shows up. Wait for an IA agent to move into the house, or a new team member or target is actually undercover to bust Briggs and anyone who's been helping him commit or cover up his crimes.

If it is like the Shield, then Reed Diamond catches a bullet with his face day 1. That was such a shocking moment.

That was the whole reason Mike showed up. The same thing would probably just happen, and that undercover agent would turn.

reply

Mike was a rookie recruited by Juan who had bizarre reasons and tactics to bust Briggs. A seasoned IA agent might be a different story. On The Shield Terry was pretty much in the same boat as Mike. He didn't have his guard up enough, whereas Cavanaugh took Vic head-on and used his brain & position of authority to try to take him down. If Briggs had an authority figure around who he couldn't order around or BS he could get caught.

He has always had authority figures, but they've been unable to do anything. Logan is his boss and has suspicions of Briggs, though that's primarily due to the tape in Mike's custody. Still hasn't been caught though because they've been unable to prove anything. Probably why Logan has decided Briggs will go do for the Sarkessians.

It seems like Briggs was only being Odin to lure out Jangles for revenge for Lisa. In season 2 Charlie says several times that she doesn't trust herself anymore because last year her head has screwed on so crooked that she was pointed the finger at Briggs. I don't know how that all plays out, but mid way through season two no one in the house explicitly knows Briggs was Odin, at least one person explicitly does not, and only Jakes has been shown to know about Briggs killing that moron FBI agent who pretended to be Jangles.

ETA: so basically since Briggs got him, he's no longer being Odin. At this point they seem to have dropped the whole plot thread. Personally I think to the shows detriment.

reply

I'm still not sure they all know. When he recently agreed to pose as Odin Rossi, I thought that was because they knew he could get away with it - no one knows what Odin looks like. It's just strange how there is no tension or confrontation about it him being Odin Rossi. Plus, connecting the dots, what he put Mike through in season 1.

reply

Especially considering that Charlie blamed Odin for the death of her informant, and that catching him was the reason she shot up heroin.

reply

That makes a lot of sense why he's no longer Odin. I hadn't put that together, thank you. Now a lot more make sense...sort of...I frankly did not like the idea of him having to almost kill his team members in the warehouse. But all of their missions seem to be motivated by tunnel vision of their goal.

reply

No worries, I had to stop and consider the season when I read the question here before I figured that bit out. It really wasn't super clear from dialogue etc.

If this team had a name, tunnel vision would be the most accurate name ever. That, or the backstabbers.

reply

They have never explained how the house knew, but I do think they have to do some sort of Prequel lmao whatever happed before 1st season why was Briggs being investigated
