Enjoyed the show, but the characters went downhill too quickly

I thought Season 1 of Graceland was great - all of the characters were likable, and Paul was still shady enough to be considered a "good guy" of sorts.

However, I felt they should've had at least another season similar to S1, in regards to everyone still working together and being "good." By the end of Season 3, they all had done so much f-ed up stuff that it was starting to become a little unbelievable.

Don't get me wrong - I don't have a problem suspending my belief for television - but setting up all of those heists, stuff with Ari, everyone turning against each other...I honestly don't know how they would have continued next season.

I felt the show prided itself on the team's ability to work together frequently and have likable characters. By the end of S3, they were all fighting with each other, rolling solo, and were becoming terrible people.

Anyone else feel the same way?

I think what you disliked you actually could have loved if it had been WRITTEN BETTER! The hallmark of a good show in this genre is when you have characters so intriguing they have you feeling ambivalent enough that you can't decided if you love them or hate them. You root for them because you know they want to do the right thing. By the next episode, you're wondering if they really were who you thought they were. You keep watching because you're hoping for redemption. This season didn't have me feeling anything, which is worse. Worse because that means I didn't care enough about them to love or hate them. The pacing was bad, the story lines too convoluted and while we all suspend belief for television, realism does have it place and this didn't anymore.

It's like you read my mind. The writer puts the story on paper vut in the end it is the director telling the story. Actors must do as the director says. I'm shocked the cast didn't stand up and say "You're making us suck!!" Vanessa Ferlito always been a favorite of mine. That level of talent could've been used in a much better way. IMHO
