This show had potential but...

Two things killed it. First was the weird racial politics where apparently working class white people are victims of an elite black power structure. Second was the conspiracy angle. Real people who are falsely convicted are almost never victimized as part of some conspiracy to cover up the real killers. Instead they're railroaded by a legal system which thinks its doing the right thing.

Unless Alpert's covered in bacon grease, I don't think Hugo can track anything.

I guess you mean Isaiah. But he was as much a pawn in this as Terry. He thought he was somehow gaining power but he didn't in fact (IMO) he sold his son. Because now Adam will have to ruin /lose his career to right this. For Zale it wasn't about race it was about protecting his son. Isaiah saw a race issue from what he told Trey (that they forgot who they were) but why he thought taking out a working class kid rather than going all in against the high powered Zale is beyond me. Except that by going after Terry he assured his own son would become more powerful.

And Terry was both. He was part of a conspiracy which the legal system jumped on because they thought they were doing the right thing. Adam was sold a story and he didn't look after he got that story.

A little messed up but we're all alright.

I'll take it you never heard of the Birmingham six, Guildford 4, or the Maguire 7

It started out as concept of a Black Power structure doing injustice to a working class white. Anyone who understands Class and White Supremacy in a broader context. Knows that the so called Black Power structure was still very subservient to the White Power structure.

A society where working and middle class voters can't quite understand the role racial discrimination can incriminate People of Color.

When allegations are made against "Law Enforcement" the prosecution is too compromised to fully investigate because they need their cooperation to build cases.

We have multiple examples of cases of Witness manipulation and planted evidence. We can't hold these institutions accountable and we can't naively believe they are capable of policing themselves.

Prosecutors and Politicians continue to fight when appeals bring stong evidence that prove innocence to protect their legacy and minimize civil suits.
