In SF, an excellent review but no crowds


I ran to see this picture, as it looked like it wouldn't last but 2 weeks in a supposedly film-savvy and hip city (San Francisco). It's a terrific picture. Since you soon won't be able to see it in the theater, remember it on Netflix and cable tv. It's a joy to watch.

I just saw it today in a small arts theater (sadly, soon to close) in Washington, D.C. I remember seeing Hope and Glory twice in theaters when it came out, and I was glad to pick up the story again, this time with an entirely different focus and set of problems. Well done.

Yes it's a great film, I actually enjoyed it better than Hope & Glory which I think has aged more than some of Boorman's films. I don't understand why no one seems to have seen this film.
