Unintelligible dialogue

I'll be the first to admit that my hearing isn't what it used to be, and there are certain actors (a very few) that I have a tough time understanding. But in every other case where I can't hear what is said it has been a very deep, bass voice.

In this movie I barely understood what Kevin (Robert Hoffman) said throughout the movie, and in the last scene in the nail salon I didn't understand a single word. Without the aid of subtitles I had no idea what he was saying.

Just me, or did the actor (and director! How does a director leave a scene like that without a re-shoot?) simply fail to enunciate?

It wasn't just you. Rewinding didn't help, either. It's not that I didn't catch something or wasn't listening carefully... everyone's speech was so garbly-marbly.

In the version I watched tonight (Netflix), to make that last nail salon scene worse, his lip movements were not in sync with the unintelligible dialogue. I was like... you people are just messin' with me now.

Been a while since I've seen a movie this overall soup-to-nuts bad.

In one instance, the entire sound of the scene was just very poor. It was an inside scene and you could hear the sound quality just disappear. There were a few other times where I couldn't make out what was being said very clearly but I just attributed that to my getting older. All in all, I thought it was a pretty good movie.
