I did not like the main character, Eva (and, therefore, the movie)

I found Eva was someone who, even at the end, did not take responsibility for her life. The way she tried to deal with this was by surrounding herself with people who stroked her ego. Her daughter, a case in point, was almost like a play-thing. Chloe stroked her ego so Chloe became a surrogate daughter. She used Catherine Keener's character, Marianne, as a "Cassandra" type "friend" to forewarn her of her relationship with Albert? What the f--- is that??? Toni Collette's character, Sarah, had just as many problems - if not more - than Eva did. This was not a pleasant movie to watch. Even with clients, responsibility was minimal. Perhaps that was the director's intention: to display a lack of responsibility in a movie. As such, it could be seen without real people getting hurt. That is the only justification I could accept for having this movie made and released. Even then, movies can only go so far in warning people of the need to take responsibility in life. Yah, anyway, I was not impressed. What an ugly plot.
