Not very good...

For anyone debating whether to pay for this movie on demand, I would wait until it's at redbox or on a movie channel or something. We watched it for close to an hour before we realized, nobody was laughing. Maybe it gets better, I dunno, but if your 'comedy' is 2/3 done and there hasn't even been a chuckle, I don't think it's worth finishing.

Was anybody in this movie NOT just going through the motions? Even the usually lively O'Dowd was sullen and boring in this. Frost and Jones, both of whom I also enjoy, were flat too. Not sure what happened here, if it's the writing or the editing or what, but it turned out below average even for STV comedies.

Anyway I don't wanna put down it's fans or anything, that definitely wasn't the point. I honestly just wanted to help out those on the fence in tempering their expectations...

Yes was looking forward to it but found it very flat or something. Barely laughed at all actually. Perhaps Nick Frost needs to move away from playing these pathetic low self-esteem characters such as Mr. Sloane and his Cuban Fury character.

Sadly, I fully agree. I was very disappointed with this and thought the best part was Simon Pegg's 2-second cameo.

yeah also found it dissapointing. Not funny enough, the dancing just doesn't come alive and the climax kind of just fizzles out.

God knows why numpties on Amazon are giving this five stars!

I dance salsa and thought it was great. I was laughing out loud in several spots.

Salsa dancers are easily pleased it must be the endorphine release they get from dancing and will dance to the same boring track no matter how many times they heard it.

I agree too, I love Nick Frost, Rashida Jones, Chris O'Dowd, Ian McShane, Olivia Coleman & Kayvan Novak, but this film was so bland, you know when you can sense the film is coming to an end and you hope it isn't and sometimes it still has about an hour left, well this film had about 20mind left.

It just had nothing going for it, the only time i laughed out loud was when Kayvan Novak made jokes, his character was the best and it was almost a caricature but kinda worked coz it's him.

And what was with that tape machine in what looked like a modern prius? i'm not a car guy but it looked like a very new car, and i haven't seen a car with a tape deck in it for years, i've heard tapes are coming back into fashion, is this this film's way of showing that? coz it really didn't work for me..

I like it, but i think the main problem is that the movie is trying to hard to become a US love flick (even the US poster is totally altered from the original one) instead of keeping the traditional british humour.

Both Nick Frost and Chris o'Down were amazing, but the movie dont create a funny ambient.

I laughed the entire time! I thought it was hilarious! I saw it on Netflix but I would totally recommend to anyone to pay to rent it or what ever they have to do to see it. Maybe it just wasn't your kind of humor?

I enjoyed it. Didn't love it but I think Nick Frost should get more starring roles. His chemistry with Chris O'Dowd was great, and O'Dowd should be in more things too.
