According to the subtitles she said, "Girls who are NOT black or Color or from America definitely will not be able to win this competition". However, she may have meant otherwise in her conversation with Afiya. She also said to Naomi that she thought black girls had the advantage.
What Naomi thought is not what the subtitles said. Did anyone hear the original conversation between Kira and Afiya?

Totally agree. Naomi WANTED to misunderstand her. She flat out CHOSE to misunderstand her. Naomi loves drama and will create it wherever/whenever she can. I didn't like the Russian girl (can't remember her name) but I also disagree with what Naomi made of the situation.
shareAgreed. Seems to me that Naomi wants there to be drama...like how she threw a fit that Anne and Lydia both put a black girl up for elimination. If they saw fit to put them there, she should respect that decision (even though Anne's move was purely strategic). I don't see their decisions as being based on color at all.

No matter who you cut it, Kira should have known better than to make any type of statement concerning such an issue. In a competition such as this, where you are being filmed, anything you say may come back and haunt you -- so do the work and try and keep neutral. I felt bad for her when she was cut -- yet she did have a bad habit of not knowing how to temper her emotions.

Kira is my fav model and she totally misunderstood here. Poor girl. How Naomi twisted her words is beyond me. I did not need subtitles to understand Kira points of view
AND it is also very difficult to stand up for yourself when you never are giving the chance at all. Kira tried but was constantly interrupted or shut down by Naomi
Kira is the one with the most potential and needs to learn how to channel her temper
