AMAZING!!! This coming from an ANTM fan!

I was reluctant to watch the Face, since I've been a die hard ANTM fan….but this show is AWESOME. Naomi is pure GENIUS--real, brutal, honest, funny, and passionate--and the mere fact that she could turn her reputation and image into one which is endearing, caring, and charismatic, just shows how extraordinary she/The Face really is…. Lydia H ROCKS, as does Anne V. Plus, the model contestants have genuine potential. This show has it all--and ENTERTAINING beyond anything ANTM has done in the last 6 or 7 years. LOVE this one!! Just hope they keep doing what they're doing this season, and refrain from the stunt casting and crazy ANTM has resorted to….Give this one a chance. Its my new obsession!

Glad to see that someone else sees it too!

Naomi is the heart and soul of the show. Lydia and Anne seem like very good additions.

All campaigns on this show are extremely realistic and heads and shoulders above even the best from ANTM. And boy, are they difficult!

As much as I love ANTM, The Face is much better, serious and credible.

Lets not even talk about the girls. All of them are great in one way or the other. Tiana is amazing, so are the remaining girls (barring, may be, Ray, but even she is growing quick).

I agree with you 100%…The Naomi irony alone (the fact that she's literally LOVABLE after u've watched a few episodes) classifies this one as a true gem. And add Lydia (amazing and lovely,right?) and Ann V, who hold their own in spades---both so fun to watch!

Campaigns are no joke--Chopard, et. al…and, like you, I was hooked for years on ANTM, and only through the Face, am I realizing what ANTM has become, and how the heart and soul of that has been chipped away.

And the girls--TIANA!??--incredible. Real models, and no stunts or bs.

My only concern with The Face initially were the rules of the game itself, and the fact that the mentors could dismiss a true talent, with the most potential, only for strategy---so they'd force out the biggest competition (and potentially the strongest model) in order to save their own girls against the biggest contender…(i.e. Lydia/Sharon a few weeks ago…) They may want to implement an appeal process, or a single SAVE, per season.

BTW, tonight's episode was brilliant.

Yup. Some people here were complaining of this seasons low budget. And bam! comes the Chopard ad.

In the UK version they shot a similar ad for Maserati.

And yeah, my complain too was that the strong girls were eliminated owing to strategy but we should take into consideration that these 12 girls were finalists to be on the show and all have potential. Everyone is good, one or the other way. I am cool with anyone winning this season. Last season's winner was amazing too.

Agree!

I used to watch ANTM til it just got too crazy and the panel kept changing. The panel just got more and more boring! Love The Face because it's so much more real without the craziness but still so entertaining.

And yup, I love Naomi more now! Always thought she was drop dead gorgeous, but now I can see she's fiercely loyal and protective of her brood like a mother hen. Unless you cross her - example: Zilin in season 1, who got what she deserved. I love that about Naomi!

Also love all the other judges so far - Carolina, Coco, Lydia and Anne.

I've watched the UK and US versions. Now starting the Australian version. Yay!

It's a jungle, I'm a freak. Hear me talk, but never speak.

Naomi is amazing on this show and without her I don't think the Face would be anything. She walks the fine line of being tough but likable: I can't think of any other tv personality that has these same qualities.

While Naomi comes across very genuine (even in the clearly staged moments) Anne V is awful. She is so fake and hammy in the staged fights and confessional interviews.

I agree Douces. Naomi is a star, and she is the STAR of this one, no question. I also think that Lydia is incredible. What I have realized about this show, is that the mentors are genuine and you're watching "reality."

Here's what I think about reality tv (competitions, as opposed to just 'reality')…. few years ago, I was a contestant on a major/network tv game show (and won 50 grand, btw…) Before we filmed, all the contestants had to sit with a group of network lawyers and reps from Standards and Practices, and not only did we have to sign huge contracts (non-disclosure/fairness/no impropriety, etc.), but the issue of fairness/no cheating, etc., was emphasized for hours and hours…clearly a result of the game show scandals from years ago…Networks, reputations, tv personalities have so much to lose in the event of any remote suggestion that a show is rigged in any way--so why would people assume that, for instance, Naomi's team is going to win, etc? It just cannot happen today. These shows are so highly monitored by legal teams and S&P--so, while certain 'situations' may be enhanced, the outcomes CANNOT have any ounce of impropriety, unless the network/producers wish to lose everything…And this is why this show works--when Naomi is up there in front of a client, those brows are legitimately sweating--she is fiercely competitive, and those decisions are, and have to be, legit.

I stopped watching ANTM a few seasons ago -- but this show has my full attention. I love it!

This show is much more realistic than ANTM and I, too, am a die hard fan. Actually it reminds me of Season 1 which was great. ANTM has become like a comedy sitcom next to this.

EDIT: I just saw Naomi console the Russian girl during her elimination; which I think was very sweet. Even though she was wrong about what the girl said (re: Racist comments) she still cared enough to mentor her. I actually teared up a bit.

I am thrilled Tyra created ANTM so this show could come about. Naomi definitely improved upon things by making it more serious.

This is why I stick by ANTM if not for Tyra neither show would exist.

Naomi had reason to be threatened back in the day.

I also love the Face as an ANTM fan. However, not really happy with one winner - Tiana. Not sure if it's the elfin hair do they gave her or that her lips are really thin. I am just not all that impressed. She looked much better before though with long hair:
