Is this a real show??

Is this an actual show or is it some kind of joke spoof? I saw an episode and I wasn't even sure what I was watching. It seemed....old. There was something off about the production value. Even the picture was kind of grainy, like it was made 15 years ago and they're just airing it right now. Plus the jokes were stale. It was so surreal.....I felt like I was watching some old school Nickelodeon sitcom from the 90's, except of course not very funny. It's hard to believe they just produced this show this year.

Imagine my surprise to find a post by someone who had the SAME reaction to this show that I'm having now. Is this show REALLY "for real?" It's airing now as I type this (found it while channel-surfing), and it does "feel" like an old Nickelodeon show (anyone remember "My Brother and Me"?). They don't even have a description here on IBDb! Isn't one of the actresses a former "Next Top Model" contestant? Not trying to knock this comedy, but the writing/direction/laugh-track needs some tweaking.
Good luck.

The concept is whacked.Drop the high school thing and focus on Marcus being a successful Black actor in H'wood.I used to watch "The Game" because of the storylines dealing with the players' lives outside of football.

it feels like a bad 90s tv show. Same cliches and tropes.

I really enjoy this series. It is great seeing many wonderful stars from stage and screen. I laugh my head off, watching the series. It is great family entertainment.

I don't really laugh at this show, but I do enjoy seeing Bill Bellamy, Rick Fox, Alex Thomas and Tim Meadows. I like Bill because he is handsome, and Rick Fox is just straight fine....Alex Thomas is so funny, (but they don't really write well for him on this show), and I always like Tim Meadows. I also have a soft spot for Byron Allen...I hope it succeeds just because it is his creation. Maybe he should hire some new writers.
