crossed the street and waited in the lobby.

The movie was romantic enough until the planes came alive. That was the stupidest thing I've ever seen. Those aren't even symbolic "live" planes. They were real, folded from accounting forms by a man with no powers.

So you would've liked it more if the planes were "live" like in Cars?

I don't think he was initially looking for anything deep, not even a date. He was just trying to say "hi" & that's not really worth blowing off your job. He eventually ran outside because of frustration with his stifling work atmosphere. It was an act of rebellion, not desperation.

He couldn't leave his work but then when he was all out of paper he just said *beep* it and went looking for her.

because throwing all your work papers out of the window is sure way to keep his work and is much better than skipping work for few hours.
