She really knew how to work that pony tail

In her first scenes the way she had it swinging back and forth was both annoying and distracting and had to be done deliberately. I wanted to sneak up behind her and cut it off.

I really like this movive, but all three times I've seen it, I always see that part and just wonder "whyyyyyyyy?"

Most memorable part of a boring, predictable movie. Utter crap.

Her hair in general is really distracting and kept finding myself wondering if it was a wig she was wearing tbh.

(Does anyone know if it was?)

She did shave her head for guardians of the Galaxy but not sure which happened first. And not bothered enough to find out if this was filmed first.

she plays an alien in Guardians (which was filmed much later than Oculus btw).

It was her own hair. This was filmed a couple of years before Gillan shaved her head for Guardians of the Galaxy. She just has amazing hair!

I am hollering at this comment. LOL.

All I could think of during that scene was Jan Brady. She did the same thing.

I was hoping it would come into play somehow later in the film. Something like Chekhov's gun. I wonder why they decided to make it so prominent?

Someone could have grabbed it from behind, or maybe it could have been caught in some kind of machinery.

Heh, it certainly had a hypnotic effect. It's one part I'll keep in mind if anyone ever asks for movie-scenes with memorable use of hair.
