Another potentially decent movie ruined by the "Comedy" tag

Why do these id iots keep on insisting to add Comedy to a movie, making it completely impossible to take serious in any way? I won't even touch a movie I would otherwise have watched just because it has the "comedy" tag. There hasnt been a single good comedy movie made in the entire history, all this stupid comedy tag does is scaring away people from watching it.

Sorry often scared away when I see the word comedy..

"There hasn't been a single good comedy..."

Making statements like this kills any potential for constructive conversation on your topic. Saying there hasn't been a comedy you've seen that you enjoyed is fair. Saying any and all movie classified as "comedy" (thousands of films) are not good is just silly. Movies are a form of art (they just are), so it's similar to saying all Abstract art is not good. I haven't seen a piece of abstact art that I've liked, but that doesn't mean no one does or that they aren't good.

Clearly just my opinion.

Does it suck not being able to laugh?

There were a couple really good laughs in this one. I think that's where the comedy tag comes from.
But no, I wouldn't really classify this as a comedy. It just has a few comedic moments.

I'm one of those horror fans who cringes at "horror" + "comedy" 9.99 times out of 10 but I would never classify this as a comedy and if this movie is labeled as such then it's mislabeled, because the movie isn't a comedy. Just because there are funny lines does not a comedy make.

With that said, the problem with this movie is that the genre it actually is (a horror movie) is so bland that any elements of other genres you add to it, may seem to compete in the minds of some viewers, so I get the complaint. Just personally I didn't see a problem with it.
