Lost in the tunnel guy

This part seems entirely made up. He goes into a house and finds underground tunnels. He gets lost long enough to have people miss his presence. Somebody knows he's in the tunnels. He uses his cel phone for light. They go in and find him.
He's alive in the tunnel.
I think at least some of this is made up even if the game did exist.

i got the impression while watching the documentary that some of the scenes were from players and some of the scenes were part of the backstory. in this case, i thought the "tunnel guy" was an actor who was explaining in his interview why his character could have been in the tunnel. alternatively, he may have participated in part of the game, and then became an actor for someone else's game. they reference multiple "acts" of the game.

i kind of assumed the same thing about the wheelchair guy - that it was all part of the backstory/marketing/immersion, since he was so far over the top.

admittedly, i was reading email while watching...

It is entirely made up. The guy is listed under the cast of the movie: Daniel Shoup plays Kelvin Williams AKA the tunnel guy.
