Oh boy...

Sometimes it's hard to tell from a trailer, but the extended look confirmed my suspicion that this is going to be a terrible movie that will prolly make a lot of money. That extended look might have been suspenseful had I not been distracted by the overuse of tilt-shift lenses or whatever was constantly blurring the image, terrible acting, and cheesy writing.

Jason, we miss you in GOT.

This movie is bound to be the "Cool As Ice" of 2024.

See the actual movie, what's in the extended look is not in the movie, ie the sections with the over shallow depth of field, that's not in the movie.

Movie is quite good, acting is strong, especially Momoa, the writing is fine, the cinematography is really good but technically, since it was shot on the 5D Mark II (that doesn't actually resolve 1080p, but rather something around 720p, hence why it looks so soft), and not in RAW mode, it looks quite crummy, saw it in "1080p" (since it's not actual 1080p) on Itunes, there's aliasing, looks very soft, there's banding & compression (coming from the crappy codec), but still, it surprised me that it actually looks like a movie anyway and doesn't come across as HDSLR footage usually comes across as, meaning: cheap.

All that aside, the ending kinda falls flat in the sense that I like Wolf as a character, but did not feel any emotion when he bit the dust

Not sure if it was supposed to resonate more than that though.

I think maybe your main issues are with how it was shot. The films beautifully acted, that's my opinion. I think we're just used to seeing Jason be the quiet brooding character. Here he shows heart, he isn't just a hulking figure. I think the settings for the film are beautiful as well. I don't know all the jargon for how they capture the film but I dug it

not a bad little film..

Mamoa has got charisma.. so I expect to see him in many more things.
