Total Rip Off.

One of my favorite films of lately is The Machine http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2317225/combined

And this movie seems to rip of not only the machine, but other movies as well.

I'll be honest. Special effects are not the thing that does a movie, if the script and acting is good, bad CGI is not something that will break a movie. In the opposite good CGI is not something that can rescue a bad movie.

This movie is just bad. CGI is bad. Acting is even worse. And I find myself getting annoyed and pissed of by all the stupid wannabe military uniforms.

Had to use the fastforward to be able to see this movie through.

What astonishes me is the fact that it is so bad and the fact that it cannot have gone by unnoticed by the creators.

If I'm engaged in a project that from frame one turns to crap, I would heed and dismiss the project. Why continue?

Both movies were made and released in the same year so one can't be a rip off of the other.

The rest is only your opinion.

reply

Perhaps.

Release
The Machine:
20 April 2013

Useless android failing:
14 June 2013

But sure, can be happenstance.

It's not the most unique story. Has been told before.

reply

Hmmmm...

I highly doubt it's a "total rip off" too.

Both films were shot in 2012.
Both films were released in 2013.
One was shot in the US and one in the UK.

I saw "The Machine" and it was ok. (Notice I'm not bashing it)
I much prefer "Perfect: Android Rising".

Whether you like or dislike something, do it with respect and don't be a troll!

The script for this film was written in March of 2012. We had ZERO idea or knowledge of THE MACHINE's existence till it's trailer was released in 2013.
