Jessica, worst wooden actress possible

She is ruining this series, either whispering/lisping like a little girl or intoning her lines in the most boring flat voice. What a difference it would have made if someone who could actually act had been given this part.

Have to agree - the worst thing in series one.

The worst actresses must have rich parents with good connections as I can see no other reason for them being given jobs (think Oblivion, Edge Of Tomorrow, Transformers DOTM, Helena B Carter, Emily Mortimer, Ros Pike, Kiera *beep*

One could go on and on about how annoying one finds them but one won't.

Yeah agree. I zone out whenever she enters frame. Other than that an incredible show.

I think she acts perfectly as a wacko. Shes insane, unstable, obssessed.

You're wrong, Jessica is great.

There's a few of us here that are wrong then!

Because there are people who agree with your opinion that she is a terrible actress, that somehow proves that you're right? It's a matter of opinion, nothing more. Playing a character who is clearly insane is actually not a simple task. I thought she did it really well, you didn't. Fair enough. Both opinions hold equal validity.

I don't know who you are directing this to, but as I started the thread and have dipped back in every now and then, I will answer you. Yes some people agree with me but probably just as many don't. It doesn't "prove me right" and I haven't suggested it does! I think it is great that this wooden Jessica thread keeps meandering along 9 months after it began. To touch on other people's recent comments - I agree the series is meant to be cartoonish, that it is not meant to be reality, and I don't think I was complaining about that. I was complaining about Jessica's character being annoying and stated my reasons for feeling this. I still feel the same. She could have been cartoonish and unrealistic in all kinds of ways that didn't have to be personally annoying to me (ha!) but I do realise the world does not revolve around me. It's OK, I can take it! I don't think many of the characters came across as vaguely normal but they didn't irritate me I didn't commit my feelings about them to print. But in MY opinion, Jessica is a waste of a good plank that could have been put to better use. Maybe in a tree house somewhere.
