It was pretty okay to me... I just feel that if you're going to use the Jonestown scenario as your guideline, then why not make it MORE grand. Otherwise just make another movie depicting Jim Jones.
The guy playing "father" was spot on IMO.

Indeed. The original was so much more compelling, and this film falls apart fast after the interview scene.

Also, when I watched the bonus features, I got a real Jonestown vibe from Ti West's sycophants who thought they had made a great movie.
