There's only 3 episodes so I'm wondering is this a one off thing or will the be a 2nd series?

The wikipedia page shows the original run as "23.10.13-05.11.13" which could suggest it's a one time thing, although it is wikipedia.

well the 3rd episode aired today and ended in a cliffhanger. interestingly though, it did not have a "next time" montage at the end of the show..

The cliffhanger was a sequel hook. hopefully it will get renewed, but I'm not holding my breath
