Did anyone else have trouble hearing most of the dialogue?

Could just be me, but was just wondering if anyone else had trouble hearing some of the dialogue. Seemed to me like most of it was mumbled or just I had trouble with the accents.

Yes, but I'm pretty sure it was at least partially intentional. The argument between the hobo dad and the guy with the metal teeth, for instance, was hilarious and I didn't understand a word of it.

Simply depends on how good you are with accents.

Man, that's jus a regional thang. Haha!
Hail, one side o' mah famli talks jus lie'kat.
I actually had to turn on the subtitles a couple of times when nic cage was talking. When he did his dog smells the road speech. I had to go back and read it.
