Another movie glorifying drunk driving.

Cage was the hero and he was DUI all the time. The auto industry pays hollywood big bucks to do this. Car crashes mean car sales and the auto industry would love to see all drivers DUI.

Reckless drivers are a bigger threat to you than all other criminals put together.

The auto industry paid Larry Brown to write an alcoholic character?

"There are too many of them. Can't kill the world."

Yeah it made it look so cool, didn't it?

Cage was a 'hero' in this?

Pay SOME attention.

reply

Yeah man, Joe was so glamorous

Just because a movie 'depicts' something, it doesn't mean that it's 'glorifying' it. If that were the case, then it would also be glorifying A LOT of other awful things. It's ridiculous to make that leap.

And, calling Cage's character a 'hero' is a bit of an oversimplification. In NO way whatsoever was this movie saying that people should do as Joe does...

"Hello, hello, what's all this shouting? We'll have no trouble here!"
