Could Rami Malek Be Playing Dr. No?

The title could be a reference to the character. And Malek has a similar look to the character in the original Dr. No movie

And it would be sort of a nice way of ending Craig's run as Bond, harkening back to the original James Bond movie, considering that his run started with the film based on the actual first Fleming novel and has already introduced SPECTRE

That'd be a weird way to bring things back full circle, even if Dr. No is one of my favorite films in the series.

reply

I hope not. Blofeld is the only recurring villain. I don't want them to start bringing all these classic characters who already died back for more films.

I think they were just dropping heavy Dr. No hints a few months ago because the name will remind people of the classic Connery era, the new film will take place in Jamaica, and it seems like the story will be drawn from source material in Dr. No, the book. I think it's possible that Malek will be similar to the character of Dr. No, but he will hopefully be called something different. I expect he will work for SPECTRE and have a secret lair on a secluded island near Jamaica, so that much will be the same.

Either way, I'm down to see them return to secret lairs and cartoonish villainy. A No by any other name is just as campy

reply

Hmm. If this is the case I kind of wish they would have waited for a new Bond actor to reboot the franchise with soft remakes of the original films.
