It's more interseting for Bond to confront his younger self

A big part of Craig's run as Bond has been dealing with his being too old for the game any longer. Conversely, wrestling with changing attitudes toward women has hardly come up at all beyond a few jokes at Bond's expense. If they're going to bring in a new 007, it should be a prettier, younger, faster, better version of Bond: the man he used to be. It's the character of Bond who's supposed to be taught a lesson and grow from the experience, not the audience. Bond deals with female super spy assassins all the time. He's not going to be impressed or put off by a lady using his number. His boss was a strong woman for years. It's hardly been just a man's game all these years. They're just baiting and spanking the fanbase with this story turn.

This was already done with Gustav Graves in Die Another Day. Graves is younger, stronger, smarter, and faster, he modelled his fake playboy persona after Bond, and yet Bond still beats him in the end.

This wouldn't be a new or interesting idea. I expect Bond will be vastly inferior in every possible way to Lynch's character in this film, and it will suck.
