It's official, next 007 will be a black woman

It's not a joke. 007 has been both femwashed and blackwashed. Lashana Lynch will play double woke seven, I mean 007, after Daniel Craig.

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-7244671/Thought-007-never-woman-black-shes-James-Bond-hand-number-over.html

The article doesn't say anything about whether Lashana is a biological woman, or a transgender woman (last case, 007's character could be considered as LGTB inclusive too). She looks more like a transgender one, but taking into account that they didn't mention it and the character has been already femwashed and blackwashed, I'm more inclined that Lashana could be a biological woman. Probably going transgender will be the next step.

So 007 is very much done, farewell and moving on, who will be the next one to be blackwashed? Indiana Jones? Ripley? Sherlock Holmes? Tarzan? Conan of Cimmeria? The Little Mermaid? Aragorn? Gandalf? Nurse Who? John McClane? Robin Hood? King Arthur? Beethoven? Columbus? Thomas Jefferson? Einstein? The XVIth century Spanish Court?

EDIT Regarding whether she's a temporary minor character. According to the movie narrative, she's the new 007. Craig is supposed to came back from retirement for a last mission, recovering the 007 license, kind of 'never say never again'. However, once he's done, once he retires again, and unless she dies, she should get back the 007 license, which means she should be 007 in the next movie. Will it happen? Well, it's not written in stone, and the Opera doesn't end until the racially correct and dietetically empowered lady sings. But again: for now, she's officially the new 007.

Do keep in mind that link is to the Daily Mail. It's like England's version of the National Enquirer. LOL

reply

This rumour has been reported by many different media outlets for many months now.

reply

So this isn't the next James Bond is a black women, merely a joke at the anti-Elba brigade at the start of the movie when the current 007 (Bond being out to lunch) is revealed as a black women.

I see they describe this as a 'popcorn-dropping' moment but quite honestly if they wanted to do a 'popcorn-dropping' moment then a white middle aged dude should walk into the room when M calls 007 in. That's something no one in this day and age would see coming...

reply

Well it's not going to be a popcorn dropping moment now, is it...?

reply

No. It's isn't.

reply

they should've gone with a black man (a black woman is just overkill) then idris could've been the new 007

reply

LOL, you're on an epic meltdown

This isn't going to change. Who do you think is going to "save" you? You think conservatives are going to overthrow the Hollywood elites and start making all the movies? You're preaching to the choir here

Hollywood has and always will be liberal. Even the whites in Hollywood hate people like you. I'm not saying I like these silly changes, but I am saying that your rage is futile. It would be like a black guy getting angry that he's not allowed into a KKK party. The movie industry will always pander to liberals

reply

Nobody is gonna 'save' me, or anybody else. We're doomed. All of us. White males and western culture are going to Hell, but once that has happened, the party will last only 2-3 decades. That's what takes a country to go from civilized to shitty third world.

Check South Africa. The party has ended. Right now their cities are gonna be the first ones in the History of Humankind to regress from having public services to the previous pre-modern world state. They're just going third world, and trying to fix it by selling the country to China to get some cash. XDDD

It's quite fun, when you think about it. Well, it's not really fun, but hey, at least you should have some laughs while our world goes to shit XD

reply

Good. Looking forward to more reactionary threads like this. Keep em up!

reply

I don't think I would mind if at the start she is the new 007 which I guess does make sense if Bond retired at the end of Spectre and then he and the new 007 go on a mission together and at the end Bond reclaims the "007" title and then the film ends and we go into the next one with a new actor (who is NOT Lashana and the character is actually the same James Bond character played by Daniel Craig). My point is if they actually think that Lashana Lynch is going to carry the next 3-5 films then I am out.

reply

I knew this would at the cat among the pigeons.

Its utter bullshit, of course. No way they would introduce a new Bond in this casual manner with no announcement or fanfare.

Part of it may indeed be true to an extent...but it sounds like a smokescreen to throw audiences off track at the start of the movie...similar to when Bond 'died' at the start of You Only Live Twice.

But boy oh boy...does it keep the Bond franchise alive by having people constantly talking about it like this...

Nothing to see here...move along...as you were...

reply

People are only going to talk about how they don't want to see this shit movie.

reply

You're missing the point...they are talking about it. Better than ignoring it.

An old showbiz maxim...

'No publicity is bad publicity'.

And even the ones who claim they will not watch it, boycott it etc usually end up going to see it anyway.

reply

Oh I just thought of another HORRIBLE ending. The gunbarrel isn't at the beginning, but at the end "007" officially retires passes on the "007" title to Lashona Lynch and then we get the gunbarrel at the end AGAIN and it's Lashona Lynch in it.

PLEASE convince me this isn't going to be the ending.

reply

Is getting a big star like Rami Malek not enough to get people talking? Maybe Daniel Craig is a liability to the series if people can't find a reason to talk about a new film in the most popular film franchise of all time.

reply

All this stuff is probably being released by the publicity company.

So it's not that people are deciding what to talk about, it's being fed to them.

reply

Yeah I was worried for a little bit but I just remembered Barbara Broccoli said a few months ago that James Bond will always be male. Chances are Lashona Lynch is just the Bond girl of the film who filled in for the "007" title while Bond was retired but then Leiter gets Bond to come back and they go on a mission together.

Having said that I am really sick of the Bond films trying to establish a "Bond universe" where each film builds off the last one, I really wish they would just go back to how it was before where each film was just its own separate thing and had little to nothing to do with the one before it storywise.

reply

I don't know where you live but in the UK the Daily Mail is commonly called the Daily Fail and renowned for publishing dog whistle crap - being angry about everything - and featuring very young girls in bikinis on the web site. I'm fairly confident this article is a load of crap published purly to promote this kind of reaction.

reply

Yeap, I know, Daily Mail was a traditional tabloid, not the best journalism around.

Nowadays it's more like average journalism, kind of similar to The Guardian or the BBC. Just standard mainstream media level.

reply

I'm not British, but the Mail is the only British media that I find even somewhat credible. BBC and the Guardian are a joke.

reply

The names Bond, Lashana Bond!

This is great news, seeing a black woman represented in a Bond movie. Black women can do anything a man can, including fight. A great role model now for girls to aspire to.

reply

Yet if they casted a white man in a role that is traditionally played by a black man I am sure the left in this country would be in an uproar. Funny how some things can only go one way.

If you want to make a spy thriller staring Lashana Lynch go for it but let it stand on its own and don't tie it into the James Bond Franchise.

reply

A great role model now for girls to aspire to.

- 007 is a misogynistic sexist incel nazi fascist privileged white male oppressor!!
- We're casting a female as 007.
- Oh! 007 is a great role model for girls to aspire to!!
