Lost some respect for Kristen Stewart

So let me get this straight she had no issue doing the Twilight films despite how strongly they were hated by critics but yet she felt she was to good to do a sequel to Snow White? She couldn't even do it for her fans? Not even a small cameo? I still enjoyed the film as is and I'm glad Hemsworth and Theron weren't uptight about returning but I do admit I wish Snow White was apart of the story. Also lost some respect for Stewart here I don't see why she couldn't at least done a cameo to help make this film feel like a proper sequel and the script wasn't that bad in fact I don't think its bad at all. It's turn your brain off fantasy flick to kill time and enjoy escapist entertainment at its finest. I wish we would got more movies like this released.

Such decisions are usually done by actor's manager and I have to say she/he did a good judgment call on this one (17% on rotten tomatoes).

There is no shortage of bad movies, threat yourself

reply

I understand if she chose not to be in this movie, however I think it wasn't cool the way she had a dig at it. She would have know that she'd be asked why she isn't in the movie, so a diplomat excuse would have been nicer. When critics and fans were panning her performance in SWATH, I only heard support for her from the other actors at the time.

reply

She clearly didn't want to be in the film and had a ego trip about it. And I disagree about their being a lot of bad movies released but that is subjective. I prefer films like this where I can kick back and enjoy without being preached to for an hour and half. Too each their own though.

reply

I'm pretty sure she wasn't invited back.

Somebody had respect for Kristen Stewart as an actor?

20 Fake CJs and 2 CowboyWizards Ignored (and counting)

reply

lol that was a first too, Kristen cant act for *beep* all she does is open her mouth showing her teeth and look clueless and emo all the time. if that is call acting, then just hired any emotional goth teenager will reprise her role in all her movies easily.

reply

She used to play a good brooding teenager.

reply

OMFG I was TOTALLY thinking the same thing!! Haha she is an absolutely HORRENDOUS excuse for an actress. She has maybe ONE a motion and facial expression, the ONLY THING she could ever play, is a brooding teenager and she's graduated to Trampy husband lover so the teen thing she's screwed as well as she did him. Besides all she did wrong someone at Universal also HAD to have also seen that... she could really have permanent Botox face never changes. Ahhh SO glad I'm not the only one who sees her for the no emotion/emo forever attitude. Keep on with you're bad self girlie ;-) looks like you're career has finally caught up to you're talent. Night night!

Do some research.

The film was supposed to be split into two franchises, one would see a Snow White trilogy and the other a Huntsman trilogy.

After Stewart's controversial cheating and subsequent lowering of public taste for her the Snow White franchise was dropped.

Now that Huntsman is bombing, the entire thing is now over.

reply

Agreed. They started with a different idea but had to deviate and adapt accordingly due to KS's affair being too close to "home" - with the wife working on set too? Yeech. Tacky to be cheating on someone and on top of that, "sleeping with the boss" and all the erstwhile cheating with a co-worker's hubby? Blech. Anyway.... There was no repairing that! So they had to jump ahead and instead of doing the two parts in stages, they had to dump one completely.

Kind of like if while making the first lord of the rings movie, Elijah Wood (or Viggo M) has an affair with Peter Jackson while his wife, Fran, is helping him produce the movie.... (yes it is unbelievable but just play along...)

I betcha that LOTR's production company and director, etc would have to skip the rest of the lord of the rings and go straight to The Hobbit franchise just to contribute and finish something that they all started but without having to bring on Elijah or Viggo. (Ehh Elijah was in one of the hobbit movies but you get my point).

So... KS really had no choice in the matter really. You're right, Snow White was screwed the second that KS got screwed (literally)!

reply

I'm laughing, but I need some brain bleach for that Jackson and Wood image. Why you had to put that in my mind? I don't think I will be able to sleep correctly for a week. Every time I see Elijah Wood on screen, my balls are going to go inside my body.

The single, 19 year old women isn't the person to blame for any "affair." The married guy with children director was a piece of *beep*

This was not "KS's" affair it was his.

She was an adult, and just as much at blame as he. Don't go full stupid. A skank is a skank, and both parties--him and her--fell into that category.

reply

She doesn't have kids and a wife, dumbass.

Why not recast Snow White and continue? Seems like a smart solution to me.

Winter's war will end up profitable, and I liked it better than 1st movie anyway. So there is a hope story wont end there.

reply

From what I understand the producers decided to not have her back and move forward with a film based on the hunstman. The far more popular character from the first film. The problem seems to be whilst people far preferred him to Kristen they seemingly didn't care that much.

reply

If the Huntsman character was far more popular then the film wouldn't have flopped as hard as it did. Nobody wanted to see a Snow White film without the Snow White character, that is a fact that has been proven. Even with the Snow White character (that could have been recast for I care)I don't think a sequel would have been a hit but I do think that it would have did a little better than Huntsman.

reply

hello, she f--ked the director of the first film, that's why she isn't back......

To be honest, i would call that a wise career decision and we all know that wisdom is not really her strength.
