Adoption Delays

I know it was an attempt at providing Mia with some sort of back story, but it just ended up being a source of distraction throughout the film. The plane to India just kept getting put off till the very end. IMO it was rather pointless.

And of course the Indian authorities are happy to arrange adoption for a Danish reporter who's just been mixed up with a series of assassination attempts?
