The age difference was obvious and made Will look even older. There was a serious lack of chemistry here. I enjoyed the story but the casting was way off!

No,it wasn't. In fact, Smith looks like he's barely aged over the past 15 or so years. There was some real chemistry there, which is why the pairing actually worked here---I believed the character's relationship, as convoluted as it got, but the movie was so much fun half the time, I didn't mind.
Do you know how much young sex Will Smith would get thrown at him if he went to a college party? He could probably have sex with an entire freshman class at a college just because he's a superstar actor.
