So where exactly was the neighbor lady?

I liked this movie, not that much but it was a descent film. The best part was when the detective suspect that he might ate the meat of that missing actress, and thats where I am confused. Where exactly was this missing actress? Was she killed by graham and if so why or what?

WARNING SPOILER IN THIS POST:

Saffron wanted to just disappear and she asked Amy to help her do that. Although we are thankfully spared the more gruesome details - I think it is pretty obvious that Saffron killed herself, perhaps with Amy's help. And THEN Amy cooked Saffron and ate her. She served the last of Saffron to the detective--who realized that was who he was munching on and became so shocked and frightened he unrealistically fled the scene. As if any detective worth his or her salt would just run off without bringing in the suspect for further questioning, gathering evidence and making an arrest.

I concur. The ending was a little weak with the detective's actions, but overall still a good movie. 7/10

Look at the night sky, where does it end?

The detective would have to explain to his superiors why he ate the evidence.

I think he'd have involuntarily woofed it up in the hallway, bagged it, and brought it downtown.

Plus he knew about the allegation that she fed frank his pet parrot so why would he try anything she cooked. Dumb detective!

I meant to say fred not frank lol

Yes, Saffron was either killed by Amy or committed suicide and Amy covered it up by cooking her body and eating it. In the original South Korean film, 301/302, the neighbor Yun was strangled to dead by the cook Song on-camera. Afterwords, all that film showed was split-second glances of Song stripping the dead body, splashes of blood, red meat being cooked, etc. I supposed with this film, it's more left up to interperation.

Thank you for the explanation. Curious myself to the exact end, your neat paragraph expresses my vague postulation. Thank you.

If you don't know what happened to Safron at the end, then you didn't pay much attention during the movie. The whole film is telling you the story of a depressed actress that just wants to disappear and a cook for whom food is love and life and that there is nothing more erotic than eating. Oh, and the cook is in love with the actress. Know connect the dots :P
