One question that wasn't answered

One question that wasn't answered:

If people do eat the same, how come that some people get overweight?

Connected to that:

Why are some babies overweight?

They for sure don't buy coke and eat granola bars. Or do they?

I was hoping that one of the medical doctors would address these issues, but no luck.

The movie did touch on this briefly, but we know there is a genetic component to obesity for some people. Basically, some people are more prone to become obese. Some people have metabolic/hormonal abnormalities which cause them to store more fat. It gets complicated pretty quickly, but I think the most imporant thing to understand is that not everyone is the same, but that most cases of obesity can probably be addressed with diet.

This is a reasonable response, so no one will believe it! :D

I think it is obvious from the film that there are all kinds of factors--genetics, environment, habits, and government/industry practices--so you control/influence what you can. But I would also bet that this genetic influence would be a far narrower range than the extreme obesity we currently see, in other words, we can be healthier.

I'm sure I'm opening up a can of worms here but......
Infant formula has sugar and corn syrup in it.

The medical doctors did not address those issues because they are in bed with Big Pharma, the government, and even the USDA. Ever wonder why it costs $6 for a salad at Mcdonald's, but you can get a hamburger at the same place for under $1?? That's right; Big Pharma NEEDS obese ppl so they can make mucho deniro off of their insulin, Liprosil, and Symbicort scripts. The film seems to be blaming the FDA for not including the sugar content correctly on labels... but don't they realize they ought to not bite the hand that feeds them? If if it wasn't for the FDA taking wads of cash from BP, the BP wouldn't even have the money to basically OWN both federal and state-wide government now. Makes you wonder who the hell is really behind the funding of this film.

Also they didn't address the fact that most states have cut the public school systems' P.E. programs altogether... but that would just be blaming the government again, now wouldn't it?
